The sessions usually last around an hour but can be as short or long as needed. During your consultation you will have the opportunity to taste some cake samples and browse through our portfolio and scrap books along with matching ribbon and fabric swatches. We also offer the opportunity to build the size and shape of your cake using “fake” tiers so that you can visualise the final effect of your design.

There’s no better way to quickly capture ideas and demonstrate designs than a simple sketch. These can be used during the design discussions to help visualise designs or can be sent on to you at a later date for approval of the design.

Matching ribbons, colours and paints ensures that your centre-piece fits in with the rest of your wedding and achieves the perfect effect. During the consultation you’ll have the opportunity to match cake and topper decorations to your current theme or even use the decisions you make on the design of your cake to influence the theme of your wedding!

Obviously it’s not enough for your cake just to look fantastic - it has to taste great too. You’ll have the opportunity to taste some cake samples to make sure that you make the right choice. When discussing the design of the different aspects of your wedding it is often difficult to visualise how the final piece will look. To assist in making the correct decision over the format of your cake you will have the opportunity to build your cake out of fake tiers. This will allow you to experiment with different tier sizes and shapes, apply any ribbons or accessories that you would like and, if required, add a topper to visualise the full effect.
